Animal Sightings

On our last trip after the Big Ticket Festival, we traveled to the UP.  We visited the Tahquamenon Falls State Park.  Prior to dinner at the brewery, (at the park), we saw a deer just wandering through the parking lot.  I grabbed my camera and followed it while it was snacking on some weeds and grass.  It was surreal!  Then we decided to drive around a bit and saw 2 black bear at two different times just wandering down the road.  If I see a moose, I will feel complete!  Pics to come.

Plastic Bottle Deposit?

A Michigan organization is trying to get a bottle return deposit on water bottles due to an increase in Americans use of drinking bottled water. In return, a Michigan representative is trying to get a law on the books to make recycling simpler. Read the rest of this entry »

Boston Day 2

The second day brought more adventure. After getting a cup of Starbucks, I made my way to Boston Common and sat to enjoy my morning java and the scenary. After about a half hour, I took some photos and then headed for the Freedom Trail again. This time I found a free downloadable audio tour, which was great (and highly recommended)! First Day in Boston

Arrived early due to bump up on the airplane flight, thanks to NWA!!Got into the hotel just fine and had an awesome burger for lunch. Then took a little break to unpack and then off to Boston Common where I walked around the park, it was a truly beauftiful afternoon!
